2016 Convicts & Catholics Verdelho

A warmer summer than last year offered the fruit to fully develop before picking giving a lovely melon character along with the tropical fruit often associated with this wine. This is a perfect summer wine, either over lunch or as a sun downer after a hot day.
Colour: Light straw.
Nose: Citrus and honeydew backed with mineral characteristics.
Palate: The soft, crisp and fruity palate is supported by seductive acidity. Great structure and length lead to a mouth watering finish.
Food Match: Oysters, Cured ocean trout baked in scallop mousse, nori and filo pastry, Salt & Pepper Squid, Coriander papadelle, mussels and diamond clams.
